SEF stands for Search Engine Friendly. The string you see in the address field may appear in different ways. A string without the SEF funktion may for example look like this: http://siteisfied.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=116&Itemid=123&lang=en

Notice the end of the string: option=com_content&view=article&id=116&Itemid=123&lang=en. Its not very informative for you, is it? Same thing goes for the search enigines. Not many people in the world would type that in for example Googles search engine. This is how the string appeard before we added SEF to this website. As can see the string now looks like this: http://siteisfied.com/sv/webbhotell/sef-a-seo.html. This brings a bit more logic to the search context.
